Iztuzu Beach

Iztuzu Beach

Iztuzu Beach is situated near Dalyan. It is a 4.5 km long beach in southwestern Turkey. The beach forms a natural barrier between the fresh water of Dalyan Delta and the Mediterranean.

Because it is one of the last nesting grounds of the endangered loggerhead turtles, it is called „Turtle Beach“, and therefore there is no construction allowed. The best time to see them is at dawn between May and September. It also rarely gets crowded, so it's picture-perfect in more ways than one.

The beach itself is a white sand beach, which makes it ideal place for sunbathing and swimming. Both ends of the beach are fully serviced with cafes and other facilities, due to the distance from the town.

Sarigerme

Sarigerme

Sarigerme is a small resort situated on the southwest Turkish coast where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean. It is famous for its spectacular 7 km long beach. The Blue Flag awarded beach is one of the most beautiful ones in the region. It is an idyllic setting due to the soft, fine, golden sand, sparkling Aegean water and pine-trees providing shade. Sarigerme Beach is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing, but due to the calm, shallow waters, there is also a wide range of sport activities including snorkeling, kiteboarding, winsurfing and waterskiing. Nearby you can find the renowned mud baths of Dalyan, which are thermally heated and rich in sulphur. There is also the famous Iztuzu Beach, a home to the protected Caretta-Caretta Turtles.
